Billy Idolwith special guests The Foxies

Tuesday, August 3, 2021 - 7:00 PM

Punk pioneer and Rock & Roll icon, Billy Idol will make a “rebel yell” at Rose Music Center in Huber Heights, OH on Tuesday, August 3. Special guests The Foxes will join the show as support.

Billy Idol

Billy Idol was an early architect of the sound, style, and fury of punk rock. His lip-curling sneer and fist-pumping persona vaulted him into the mainstream as one of MTV’s first megastars, making him one of the most recognizable faces in pop music. He has sold 40 million albums while scoring numerous platinum albums worldwide, nine top forty singles in the U.S. and 10 in the U.K. including “Dancing With Myself, “White Wedding,” “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without A Face,” “Flesh For Fantasy” and “Cradle Of Love,” all of which Idol wrote himself. Billy’s definitive versions of “Mony Mony” and “To Be A Lover” were also smash singles. Billy was responsible for some of punk rock’s most memorable, literate, and evocative moments and created a pioneering new sound by bringing the spirit of ’77 to the dance floor, going on to fashion an immediately identifiable musical blueprint that integrates club-land throb, rockabilly desperation, and rock’n’roll decadence. Idol's band will include original guitarist Steve Stevens in the lineup.

The Foxies

With their uniquely feral brand of rock ‘n’ roll, The Foxies are a Nashville-based power trio built on thrashing punk energy and the hypnotic pageantry of electronic pop. Composed of front woman Julia Lauren Bullock, guitarist Jake Ohlbaum and dummer Rob Bodley. The Foxies are serving up Summer 2021 with their new single “Summer Never Dies”, which was released on June 22nd. The Foxies exploded into 2021 on Tik Tok with their 1st single “Timothée Chalamet."  gaining over 2.5 million views on the platform. The Foxies are simply not slowing down anytime, releasing their second single in 2021 with their  song "Screws." The song reflects the times: fast, aggressive, unstable, and just plain weird. With plenty of solo time in 2020, the Nashville-based trio of misfits have come to a unilateral realization: there is no such thing as normal. The Foxies will finally be able to perform songs from their 2020 EP release, Growing Up is Dead, which received attention from Rolling Stone (Song You Need To Know - Anti Socialite), Alt Press, American Songwriter and Pop Dust.  “I think rock’s just been sleeping for a bit,” Bullock says, “and it’s about time to wake the bear.”
